Claim auto insurance companies to reduce prices

The Committee of Road Transport Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jeddah under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the National Committee of Land Transport, the Chairman of the Transport Committee Room Albassami Ali bin Said yesterday at a meeting room in Jeddah.
The Albassami that, during the meeting discussed the need for a flat rate of insurance of all types of ground transportation vehicles, calling on the auto insurance companies operating in the Kingdom to reduce prices and to deal realistically with the local market and the importance that there should be a standard contract for all firms certified by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency to deal with transparency and rationality with the road transport sector in Saudi Arabia.
He pointed out that the transport and communications sector and in particular road transport sectors of the task in advancing the development of the insurance provided for the movement of passengers and cargo domestically and internationally, and played a leading role in pushing the economy and the provision of services to the productive sectors and other service also offers many opportunities for investment and employment is estimated at investment of more than 67 billion riyals, and includes the transfer of a huge fleet of tankers. Albassami stressed the importance of the road transport sector in the rehabilitation of trade and development as one of the largest sectors of transport at the level of the Arab region, he said, adding that the meetings will continue with the insurance companies in this regard to reach the standard rate, which would satisfy both parties.
